After a long and exhausting set of flights from Boston, we made it to rainy Bergen. It doesn't rain constantly, only when you put away your umbrella. We took a shuttle bus from the airport straight to the hotel. After checking in, we headed out to explore the town. We walked down to the old section of town. The buildings are small, wooden, and brightly colored. We traveled down some tiny cobblestone streets. We found Mariakirken or St. Mary's Church. It was built in the 12th century and is one of Bergen's oldest surviving structures. That is the first picture below. Mark took a picture of me outside the closed doors.
